Description
A forgotten homestead, a window from the past, left behind with tattered shade still blowing in the wind. Memories of yesterday still hanging on like the flaking paint of the exterior boards.

F/V! Robert..this is a favorite subject of mine. I love this one of yours.....especially that wonderful torn curtain in the upper window casing! The starkness of it reaches out and just smacks you in the eye, yet..it has a subtlety that I can't quite explain. Wonderfully done!!
Robert ONeil replied:

Vivid and stark... I absolutely love this! This conjures up memories and emotions of all kinds :) I sense just a slight uneasiness/darkness lingering... really creates the mood. Well done Robert Fav/Vote

Hello again Robert, This says so much! I like the b/w processing because it makes this seem even more dramatic. The description with this resonates very well with the image. Perfectly, in fact. Love your work Robert. YOu have a grand variety of fascinating works on your site. Blessings to you. F/V

Your words describe so poetically, the passing of time...and it goes so quickly...This image says it all and the black and white further impresses the loss of time like when fall turns from the dying colorful leaves to the bleak and black and white winter. This is a real winner because it speaks of life...Bravo Robert! fv vote

This is an outstanding, almost breathtaking black and white. The contrasts which bring out the detail are absolutely incredible. And your perspective is phenomenal to accent it perfectly. Love this. F/V
